Update Schema wizard: Consolidated Database Schema page

You must connect to the database that will be the consolidated database in your MobiLink application so the wizard can obtain schema information for it.

This page has the following components:

Choose a consolidated database    Click to choose a consolidated database to provide the schema information for the consolidated database in the synchronization model.

The Connect dialog appears. Specify the connection information for the consolidated database.

For more information, see Connect dialog: Identification tab (MobiLink and QAnywhere), and Connect dialog: Advanced tab (MobiLink and QAnywhere).

Note

If the specified database is not set up as a MobiLink consolidated database, you are prompted to install MobiLink system setup.

  • Click Yes to immediately install the MobiLink system setup scripts to the consolidated database.

For example, click Yes if you intend to deploy the synchronization model to the specified consolidated database.

  • Click No to not install the MobiLink setup scripts to the specified consolidated database.

    For example, click No:

    • If you only intend to use the specified consolidated database to obtain a schema and you have no intention of deploying to it.

    • If you intend to deploy the synchronization model to the specified consolidated database, but prefer to do so with the Deploy Synchronization Model wizard.

    • If you prefer to run the setup scripts yourself after you deploy.

With the exception of the installation of the MobiLink system setup, no other changes are made to the consolidated database until you deploy your model.

See Setting up a consolidated database.
