Granting REMOTE DBA authority

 Grant REMOTE DBA authority (Sybase Central)
  1. Use the SQL Anywhere 12 plug-in to connect to the database as a user with DBA authority.

  2. In the left pane, click either the Users & Groups folder or the SQL Remote Users folder.

  3. Right-click the user and click Properties.

  4. Click the Authorities tab and click the Remote DBA option.

  5. Click Apply and then click OK.

 Grant REMOTE DBA authority (SQL)
  1. Connect to the database as a user with DBA authority.

  2. Execute a GRANT REMOTE DBA statement to grant REMOTE DBA authority to a user.

    For example:

    GRANT REMOTE DBA TO dbremote
    IDENTIFIED BY dbremote;
