Use the diagnostic log to view detailed information about errors or warnings appearing in the Events panel.
You must have the AlterCloud privilege.
Context and remarks
The Console only displays one page of the diagnostic log at a time. To view the diagnostic log in its entirety and/or save it to a local file, use the ETD File Management utility (dbmanageetd).
The syntax for cloud diagnostics searches is as follows:
severity Filters the search by event severity. Valid severity levels are critical, error, warning, information, and debug.
host Filters the search by host name. Separate multiple values by commas.
eventtype Filters the search by event type. Separate multiple event types by commas.
time Filters the search by time range. Valid time ranges are pasthour, yesterday, and today.
start Retrieve log entries starting from this time. The format is YYYY-MM-DD,hh:mm:ss.
end Stop retrieving log entries after this time. The format is YYYY-MM-DD,hh:mm:ss.
containing text Filters the search to entries containing the specified text.
Choose one of the following:
|View diagnostic information for a specific event||
|View diagnostic information for a specific type of event||
To view the information that is uploaded to the Usage Server:
Navigate to the Diagnostics Log panel.
Open the dropdown menu, and click Custom.
In the Containing text field, type usage information details.
In the Host(s) field, browse to the cloud's primary host.
In the Event severity field, select Information.
Click OK » Search.
This search returns the exact contents of the usage information uploaded to the Usage Server.
