Editing objects in the cloud

Edit existing objects in the cloud, including databases, cloud servers, tags, schedules, cloud users, rules, and maintenance plans.

Prerequisites

You must have the appropriate privilege for the object:

  • Cloud servers   CreateDropServer

  • Databases   DropDatabase

  • Tags   CreateDropTag

  • Schedules   RunScheduleTask

  • Cloud users   Any user can change their own password, full name, or email address.

    To change another user's password, full name, or email address, you must have the CreateDropUser privilege.

    To change a user's privileges, you must have either of the ManageUserPrivilege or DelegatePrivilege privileges, combined with the privilege you want to grant.

  • Rules   CreateDropRule

  • Maintenance plans   BackupDatabase and RunScheduleTask

 Task
  1. In the Cloud Console, navigate to the appropriate panel for the object.

  2. Select the relevant object that you want to edit.

    Option Action
    Cloud servers Click Properties, and follow the instructions.
    Databases Click Other actions » Properties, and follow the instructions.
    Tags Click Properties, and follow the instructions.
    Scheduled tasks Click Properties, and follow the instructions.
    Cloud users Click Properties, and follow the instructions.
    Rules Click Properties, and follow the instructions.
    Maintenance plans Click Properties, and follow the instructions.

Results

The object is altered as specified.
