Schedule regular backups of your tenant databases by using maintenance plans, which are scheduled backup plans that you apply to tenant databases.
When a cloud is created, it contains two system-defined maintenance plans that cannot be altered or deleted. However, you can create a maintenance plan, optionally set it as the default plan, and apply it to tenant databases at any time. You can also view the execution history of a maintenance plan, which allows you to assess when the maintenance plan ran, as well as which databases were backed up and where. When a database is added to the cloud, it is assigned the current default maintenance plan. A tenant database only has one maintenance plan.
Create maintenance plans with staggered full backups to avoid running numerous full backups simultaneously.
To back up your tenant database in between scheduled backups, create a full or incremental backup of your tenant database.
