Logging in to administer the cloud (Cloud Console)

Access and manage your cloud with the browser-based Cloud Console. Log in with your user name and password for every browsing session.

Prerequisites

Your Internet browser must support Adobe Flash.

Context

The Cloud Console provides an operational view of the cloud. The Console shows whether hosts, cloud servers, and databases are running. It also provides a topological view of hosts, cloud servers, and databases. Use the Cloud Console to perform tasks such as backing up or moving tenant databases.

Procedure

  1. Browse to https://host-name:portnumber/.

    For example:

    https://host-name:40400/
  2. If prompted, accept the certificate and continue. By default, your cloud does not use a signed certificate, so you are prompted to accept the certificate when you start the Cloud Console.
  3. When prompted, type your cloud user name and password.

Results

You are now logged in to the Cloud Console

Example

If you are logging in to the Cloud Console from a cloud host, you can specify localhost:

https://localhost:40400/

If you are connecting to the cloud via a cloud server that uses the default port (443), then you do not need to specify the port number:

https://host-name/
