Syntax 2 (Cloud Command utility)

  • backupcopy

The backup copy to make a copy of. Accepts a backup copy name, ID, or a search query that identifies a single backup copy. (Required)

  • host

The target host. Accepts a search query that identifies hosts. The search query can be a list of host names or IDs separated by semicolons (;), or a full search. An appropriate host is selected from this list and the backup is stored there. (Required)

  • target_dir

    The target directory. (Required)

Required privileges

BackupDatabase

Remarks

This task creates an external copy of a backup and stores it in a directory outside of the cloud data directory. The backup and all dependent backups are copied to the specified directory on the target host.

If the backupcopy parameter is NULL, the backup parameter indicates which backup to copy. In that case, if there is more than one copy of the backup, one is chosen randomly from the successful copies.

Example

Run the following task to create a copy of the backup with ID BP-m8f3 to the directory d:\SAODE\Backups on host myhost.

dbcloudcmd run CreateExternalBackupCopy backup=BP-m8f3 host=myhost target_dir="d:\SAODE\Backups"
