MoveBackupCopy task

Moves a backup to a new host.

Syntax 1 (SQL)
CALL DBCloud.MoveBackupCopy ( backupcopy=backupcopy, host=host [, optional-parameters ] )
Syntax 2 (Cloud Command utility)
dbcloudcmd run MoveBackupCopy backupcopy host [ optional-parameters ]
Parameters
  • backupcopy

The backup copy to move. Accepts a backup copy name, ID, or a search query that identifies one backup copy. (Required)

  • host

The host to move the backup copy to. Accepts a search query that identifies hosts. The search query can be a list of host names or IDs separated by semicolons (;), or a full search. An appropriate host is selected from this list and the backup is stored there. (Required)

  • validation_type

The type of validation. The default is 'X'.

    The following values are supported:

    • D

Validate that all pages in the database belong to the correct object, perform a checksum validation, and validate the correctness of indexes.

    • F

      Perform a full validation.

    • S

      Perform a checksum validation.

    • X

      Perform an express validation.

    • N

      Do not perform validation.

Required privileges

BackupDatabase

Remarks

The MoveBackupCopy task only moves a single backup copy. To move multiple backups, use the Cloud Console.

When specifying a search query, the search query must identify a unique backup copy. An error is returned if a search query returns more than one matching backup copy.

The backupcopy parameter accepts a backup copy ID. To view a list of all backup copy IDs in the cloud, run the following:

dbcloudcmd describe type:backupcopy

Example

Run the following task to move a full backup copy with the ID BC-q5v5 to the host cloud-host2:

dbcloudcmd run MoveBackupCopy backupcopy=BC-q5v5 host=cloud-host2
