Download Delete Subset tab

The Download Delete Subset tab applies if the download type on the Download Type tab is set to Timestamp and Download Deletes is checked on the Download Deletes tab and Download subset is not set to None on the Download Subset tab. The Download Delete Subset tab lets you define the subset of deletes that occur on the consolidated database that are sent to each remote database.

The Download Delete Subset tab shows the following information for the selected table mapping:

  • Download Delete Subset   Choose one of the following options from the dropdown list:

    • None   Download all deletes to all remote databases.

    • Same   Use the same logic for determining the download delete subset that is defined on the Download Subset tab.

    • Custom   Write a SQL WHERE clause that determines the subset of deletes that each remote receives.

When Custom is chosen for the Download Delete Subset, the following additional fields are available.

  • Tables to add to the download delete cursor's FROM clause   Type the table name(s) if your download_delete_cursor requires a join to other tables. If the join requires multiple tables, separate them with commas. If the download delete subset is set to Same, this shows the download subset tables and is not editable.

  • SQL expression to use in the download delete cursor's WHERE clause   Type a SQL expression to be added to the generated download delete cursor WHERE clause. You may use MobiLink named parameters in your expression. See Named script parameters.

Do not write a complete download_delete_cursor. You only need to add extra information to identify the join and other restrictions on the download delete subset. If the download delete subset is set to Same, this shows the download subset SQL expression and is not editable.

  • Delete shadow table columns   This is displayed if you are using a shadow table to track deletes. Choose any extra columns needed by the SQL expression that should be placed in the delete shadow table when a row is deleted.
