The General tab of the Publication property has the following components:
Name Shows the name of the publication. You can change the publication's name in this field.
Type Shows the type of object.
Owner Shows the name of the database user who owns the publication.
Synchronization type Shows the type of publication. The type can be one of the following:
Log scan Standard publication that is compatible with MobiLink and SQL Remote.
Scripted upload Publication that uses stored procedures to define the upload. This type of publication is compatible only with MobiLink.
Download only Publication that only downloads data to remote databases, and never uploads data. Download-only publications do not use a transaction log on the client. This type of publication is compatible only with MobiLink.
Comment Provides a place for you to type a text description of the publication. For example, you could use this area to describe the publication's purpose in the system.
