Configuring diagnostic tracing

The Application Profiling Wizard in Sybase Central uses pre-configured tracing settings, which you cannot change. However, the Database Tracing Wizard, used to perform diagnostic tracing, allows you to configure almost all aspects of your tracing activities. You configure diagnostic tracing settings in one of two ways:

Tracing settings are stored in the sa_diagnostic_tracing_level system table. See sa_diagnostic_tracing_level table.

The SendingTracingTo and ReceivingTracingFrom database properties identify the tracing and production databases, respectively. For more information about these properties, see Database-level properties.
