MINUTE function [Date and time]

Returns a minute component of a datetime value.

Syntax 
MINUTE( datetime-expression )
Parameters

  • datetime-expression   The datetime value.

Remarks

The value returned is a number from number from 0 to 59 corresponding to the datetime minute.

Standards and compatibility

  • SQL/2003   Vendor extension.

Example

The following statement returns the value 22.

SELECT MINUTE( '1998-07-13 12:22:34' );
