Exiting the Monitor stops the collection of metrics for all resources. It is recommended that you leave the Monitor running, but close the web browser. To stop monitoring a specific database, see Stop monitoring resources.

The procedure for exiting the Monitor is different depending on whether the Monitor is running on a separate computer.

To exit the Monitor

• In the system tray, right-click the SQL Anywhere Monitor icon and choose Exit SQL Anywhere Monitor.

To exit the Monitor on a separate computer

1. Browse to install-dir\bin32.

2. On Windows, run the following:

   samonitor.bat stop service

   On Linux, run the following:

   samonitor.sh stop service
