Viewing the Help file

To view the SQL Anywhere Eclipse Help in a SQL Anywhere administration tool, click Help.

To view the SQL Anywhere Eclipse Help without using a SQL Anywhere administration tool in a Microsoft Windows environment, run the batch file sadoc.bat located in %SQLANY12%\Bin32 or %SQLANY12%\Bin64.

To view the SQL Anywhere Eclipse Help without using a SQL Anywhere administration tool in a Unix, Linux, or Mac OS X environment, run the shell script sadoc located in $SQLANY12/bin32 or $SQLANY12/bin64.

To launch the SQL Anywhere Eclipse Help with sadoc, use the command sadoc [ options ] [ web address ]. The default web address is /com.sybase.help.sqlanywhere/sqlanywhere_en12/help_top_index.htm.

The use_external_browser and -stop options are specific to the documentation viewer. However, numerous options are available to customize Eclipse behavior. Default options can be added to eclipse.ini. In a Microsoft Windows environment, the default location for eclipse.ini is %SQLANY12%\Eclipse. In a Unix, Linux, or Mac OS X environment, the default location for eclipse.ini is $SQLANY12/eclipse.
