This page allows you to specify whether you want to deploy the synchronization model to a command file and SQL file that you can run later to update the remote database or connect to the remote database and update it immediately.
This page has the following components:
Save changes to the following SQL file (and create a command file in the same folder) Select this option to specify the name and location of the SQL file, or click Browse to select the file. The command file is created in the same location.
Include SQL commands to create the remote schema Select this option to include SQL commands to create the remote schema. This option allows you to overwrite existing schema. If you deploy using this option, then tables in the existing remote database that have the same names as those in the model will be dropped and recreated. This option only applies if you are not connecting to the remote database to directly apply the changes.
Remote database type Choose SQL Anywhere or UltraLite from the dropdown list to specify the remote database type.
Connect to the remote database to directly apply the changes Select this option to deploy the synchronization model directly to a remote database. The existing database schema must match the remote database schema in the model.
Choose a remote database Click to choose the remote database that you want the synchronization model deployed to. The Connect window appears. Specify the connection information for connect to the remote database.
