Making an archive backup with the Backup Database Wizard

 Make an archive backup (Sybase Central Backup Database Wizard)

The Backup Database Wizard creates an archive backup. When you make an archive backup in Sybase Central, you have the option of backing up the database directly to tape or to disk.

  1. Connect to the database as a user with REMOTE DBA or BACKUP authority.

  2. Right-click the database and click Backup Database.

  3. Follow the instructions in the wizard.
