SACHARSET=charset-label

The charset-label is a character set label.

For information about the recommended character set labels for Windows and Unix operating systems, see Recommended character sets and collations.

You can use the dbinit -le option to obtain a list of all of the available character set labels for a SQL Anywhere database. The dbinit -l option returns a list of available collations for a SQL Anywhere database. See Initialization utility (dbinit).

If SACHARSET is not specified, the character set comes from the operating system.
