Setting the refresh frequency

Set the refresh frequency (Sybase Central)

By default, Sybase Central checks the status (started or stopped) of each Windows service, and updates the Status column to display the current state. In addition, Sybase Central refreshes the dynamic objects such as connections and locks, as well as the dynamic properties of events and maintenance plans. By default, Sybase Central refreshes every 10 seconds. If you turn off automatic refreshing, you must click View » Refresh Folder to see changes to the state.

  1. Click Tools » SQL Anywhere 12 » Preferences.

  2. Click the Automatic Refresh tab.

  3. Click Enable Automatic Refreshing.

  4. Specify a time interval in the Refresh Every X seconds. The default is 10 seconds.

The value you set in this window remains in effect for subsequent sessions until you change it.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Click OK.
