On

Can be set by any user and can be set for the PUBLIC group and individual connections. Takes effect immediately.

When this option is set to On, a transaction is automatically rolled back if it encounters a deadlock. The rollback happens after the current request completes. If this option is set to Off, SQL Anywhere automatically rolls back the statement that encountered the deadlock, and returns an error to that transaction indicating which form of deadlock occurred. Rolling back the statement likely would not release any of the locks acquired by the statement.
