Export wizard

Use the Export Wizard to export query results in a specific format to a file or database. You must be a database administrator to run the Export Wizard.

To export result sets to an ODBC data source (for example, Excel):

  1. Execute a query

  2. In Interactive SQL, click Data | Export. Interactive SQL displays the Export Wizard.

  3. Select In a database from the screen titled Where do you want to save the results?.

  4. Click Next

  5. Select the Indentification screen.

  6. Select ODBC Data Source name from the Select an ODBC data source pane.

  7. Enter the name of the data source in the ODBC Data Source name drop-down list, or use the Browse button to open the Data Source Names dialog.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Select In an existing table from Where do you want to save the data?, and enter the pathname to the file.

  10. Click Export.
