You can specify server and database options when starting the database server to tune SQL Anywhere behavior and performance. You can choose from many options to specify such features as how much memory the cache can use, the privilege needed to start a database on the database server, and the network protocols to use.

On Windows Mobile, options are specified in the Server Startup Options window. This is different than other Windows operating systems where database server options can be set on the command line. Most server options are available for Windows Mobile.
