Configuring the Log Viewer message list

Configure the order of the messages in the Log Viewer, or restrict (or filter) the number of messages that appear. You can also clear all messages from the list.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this task.

 Task

  • In Sybase Central, click Tools » Log Viewer to open the Log Viewer.

    Option Action
    Show all messages

    In the Log Viewer, choose View » All Events.

    Clear all messages

    In the Log Viewer, choose Log » Clear All Events.

    Set the order of messages

    In the Log Viewer, choose one of the following options from the View menu:

    • Newest First to order the messages starting with the most recent.

    • Oldest First to order the messages starting with the oldest.

    Filter messages

    1. In the Log Viewer, choose View » Filter Events.

      The Filter window appears.

    2. Configure the options.

Results

The message list in the Log Viewer is customized.
