To disallow TDS connections to a database server, set TDS to NO. To ensure that only encrypted connections are made to your database server, this protocol option is the only way to disallow TDS connections.

• -ec database server option

The following command starts a database server using the TCP/IP protocol, but disallowing connections from Sybase Open Client or jConnect applications.
