Opening the Connect window (dbconsole utility)

By default, the Connect window opens when you start an administration tool. If the Connect window does not open automatically in the SQL Anywhere Console utility, you can open it manually.

There are no prerequisites for this task.

Context and remarks

You can use the Connect window in the SQL Anywhere Console utility to connect to a database server or database by specifying connection parameters.

Information you enter in the Connect window is preserved while the administration tool is running.

 Task

  1. Start the SQL Anywhere Console utility.

  2. Click Command » Connect.

    Alternatively, you can press F11 to open the Connect window.

Results

The Connect window opens.
