Creating a unit of measure

Several units of measure are installed with the software. If the installed units of measure are not appropriate for your data, you can create your own.

Prerequisites

You must have the MANAGE ANY SPATIAL OBJECT or CREATE ANY OBJECT system privilege.

Create a unit of measure (Sybase Central)

Connect to the database.
In the left pane, click Spatial Reference Systems.
In the right pane, click the Units of Measure tab.
Right-click the tab and click New » Unit Of Measure.
Click Create A Custom Unit of Measure, and then click Next.
Specify a name in the What Do You Want To Name The New Unit Of Measure? field, and then click Next.
Select Linear in the Which Type of Unit Of Measure Do You Want To Create? field.
Follow the instructions in the Create Unit Of Measure Wizard.
Click Finish.

Results

A unit of measure is created.
