Any SQL Anywhere database can be used as a remote database in a MobiLink system. You need to create a publication, create a MobiLink user, create a synchronization subscription, and register the user with the consolidated database.

There are no prerequisites for performing this task.
Context and remarks
If you use the Create Synchronization Model Wizard to create your MobiLink client application, these objects are created for you when you deploy the model.
A database that does not have a transaction log can only be used as a remote database for scripted upload and for download-only publications.
Start with an existing SQL Anywhere database, or create a new one and add your tables.
Create one or more publications in the remote database.
