Lesson 9: Starting the MobiLink clients

In this lesson, you start the remote database to prepare it for synchronization. This lesson assumes that your remote database, consolidated database, and MobiLink server reside on the same computer.

Prerequisites

This lesson assumes you have completed all preceding lessons. See Lesson 1: Setting up a MobiLink consolidated database.

This lesson assumes that you have the roles and privileges listed in the Privileges section at the start of this tutorial: Tutorial: Introducing MobiLink.

 Task

  1. At a command prompt, change to the c:\MLintro\mlintro_project\sync_mlintro_deploy directory.

  2. Run the following command to start the sync_mlintro_remote database: 

    dbsrv16 sync_mlintro_remote

Results

The remote database is started.
