Packet encryption Choose one of the following: NONE, SIMPLE or TLS. See Database server with transport-layer security.
When you choose TLS for the Packet encryption option, the encryption connection parameters table is enabled. Specify any of the encryption connection parameters in this table.

| certificate_name | If specified, the application only accepts server certificates when the Common Name field on the certificate matches this value. See certificate_name. |
| certificate_unit | If specified, the application only accepts server certificates when the Organization Unit field on the certificate matches this value. See certificate_unit. |
| fips | Choose whether to use FIPS-certified encryption implementations for TLS encryption and end-to-end encryption. See fips. |
| tls_type | Specify RSA as the encryption cipher to use for synchronization. |
| trusted_certificates | Specify a file containing a list of trusted root certificates used for secure synchronization. See trusted_certificates. |
