Connection Profiles window

The Connection Profiles window lets you view and edit connection profiles (named sets of connection parameters, such as user name, password, and server name). The Connection Profiles window has the following components:

  • Connection profiles   Lists and describes all connection profiles. To connect, select a profile and then click Connect, or double-click the connection profile.

  • Connect   Connects using the selected connection profile.

  • New   Opens the New Connection Profile window, which lets you create a new connection profile.

  • Rename   Opens the Rename Connection Profile window, which lets you change the name of a selected connection profile.

  • Edit   Opens the Edit Connection Profile window, which lets you edit the selected connection profile.

  • Change Description   Opens the Change Connection Profile Description window, which lets you change the description of a selected connection profile.

  • Delete   Deletes the selected connection profile. Sybase Central prompts you to continue if you click this button.

  • Export   Lets you save an existing connection profile to a file.

  • Import   Opens the Import Connection Profile File window, which lets you import a connection profile from a file on the computer.

  • Set Startup   Toggles the automatic startup option for the selected connection profile (the value in the Use On Startup column in the connection profiles list). When this option is turned on, the connection profile is automatically used each time Sybase Central is started.
