This window is only applicable when a system role that supports log ins (such as PUBLIC, dbo, diagnostics, rs_systabgroup, and SA_DEBUG) or a user-extended roles is granted one of the following compatibility roles:

• SYS_AUTH_DBA_ROLE
• SYS_AUTH_RESOURCE_ROLE
• SYS_AUTH_BACKUP_ROLE
• SYS_AUTH_VALIDATE_ROLE
• SYS_RUN_REPLICATION_ROLE

When you disable system-privilege inheritance for one of these roles, you cannot grant administrative rights except for the SYS_AUTH_DBA_ROLE, and you cannot grant administrative only rights.
