Options for System Privilege

Use this window to restrict the users to which the system privilege applies. When you grant the CHANGE PASSWORD or SET USER system privilege, you can restrict whose passwords the user can change or who the user can impersonate.

  • All users   For the CHANGE PASSWORD system privilege, the user can change the password of any user. This option is the default.

    For the SET USER system privilege, the user can impersonate any user. This option is the default.

  • These users   For the CHANGE PASSWORD system privilege, the user can only change the password for the users listed.

    For the SET USER system privilege, the user can only impersonate the users listed.

  • Users with one or more of these roles   For the CHANGE PASSWORD system privilege, the user can only change the password for users that have one of listed roles.

    For the SET USER user can only impersonate users that have one of the listed roles.
