The General tab of the Sample Properties window provides an overview of what the synchronizations were doing at the sample time, using high level categories. This can help identify whether the network, consolidated database, or remote database is causing performance issues. For more detailed information, see either Sample Properties window: Phases tab or Sample Properties window: Events tab.
This tab has the following components:
Sample The number of the sample. Use the spinner to change which sample is displayed.
Time Shows the time that the selected sample was taken.
Index The index is a number assigned to each category.
Category Shows the category name, which is based on the resource being used and the action being performed. The categories are as follows:
network-uploading Synchronizations in sync_request or receive_upload phases.
network-downloading Synchronizations in sending_download phase.
idle-queued_for_database Synchronizations in get_db_worker or get_db_worker_for_download_ack phases.
database-running_event_scripts Synchronizations in phases where event scripts are running in the consolidated database.
remote-waiting_for_ack Synchronizations in wait_for_download_ack phase.
Count Shows how many synchronizations were in each category at the time that the sample was taken.
Percent The percentage of synchronizations in each category at the time that the sample was taken.
