Options window: Support tab

You can configure whether the software should check for software updates and how often it should do so.

Check for updates any time by choosing Start » Programs » SQL Anywhere 16 » Check For Updates and from the Sybase Central, Interactive SQL, and SQL Anywhere Console utility (dbconsole) Help menus.

Software Updates and Notices

Check for software updates and notices When selected, the software searches for updates and notices.
- Frequency Specify how often the software should check for updates.
  - Daily Select this option to have the software check for updates daily. This is the default.
  - Weekly Select this option to have the software check for updates once a week.
  - Monthly Select this option to have the software check for updates once a month.
  - On application startup Select this option to have the software check for updates each time it is started.
- Check for Choose any combination of the following options to specify what types of updates the software should check for. By default, all the options are selected:
  - Bug Fixes Select this option if you want the software to check for express bug fixes.
    An express bug fix is a subset of the software with one or more bug fixes.
  - Minor Releases Select this option if you want the software to check for minor releases of the software.
    A minor release is a complete set of software that upgrades installed software from an older version with the same major version number (version number format is major.minor.build).
  - Other Information (may include product or other news) Select this option to check for other information, such as new product releases or upcoming events.
