Start the database, MobiLink server, or Relay Server farm that you want to monitor (if it is not already running).

Install the Monitor on a computer that is always connected to your network.

The Monitor can run on the same computer as the resources it is monitoring, but it is recommended, particularly in production environments, that you run the Monitor on a different computer to minimize the impact on the resources or other applications.

Start the Monitor and open it in your browser. See Starting the Monitor.

Log in to the Monitor as an administrator. The default user is an administrator with the name admin and the password admin.

As a Monitor administrator, in the left navigation menu, click Tools » Administration and add the resource to be monitored. See Adding a database resource and Adding a MobiLink server or a Relay Server farm resource.

As a Monitor administrator, add new users and change the password for the admin user. See Creating Monitor users.

As a Monitor administrator, configure alert thresholds for the resources. See Alerts.

As a Monitor administrator, configure the backup and maintenance schedule. See Backing up the Monitor.

Click Close to exit the Administration window.

Click Overview. In the Resource List widget, you see the resources that are being monitored. See Dashboards.
