Stopping the Monitor

Stopping the Monitor Production Edition involves stopping the Monitor service and the collection of metrics.

There are no prerequisites for this task.

Caution

In most cases, it is recommended that you leave the Monitor running, but close the browser. Closing the browser does not stop the collection of metrics.

Task

Stop the Monitor.

On Windows Choose one of the following options:

Monitor Developer Edition

In the system tray, right-click the Monitor icon and click Exit SQL Anywhere Monitor.

Monitor Production Edition

Run samonitor.bat from the bin32 directory in the Monitor installation directory:

samonitor.bat stop

On Linux Choose one of the following options:

./samonitor.sh stop

Monitor Production Edition

samonitor.sh stop

Run the samonitor.sh script from the bin32 or bin64 directory in the Monitor installation directory:

Résultat

The Monitor is stopped, and the Monitor stops collecting metrics for all resources.
