Lesson 4: Creating a MobiLink project

In this lesson, you connect to the consolidated database by creating a new MobiLink project.

Prérequis

This lesson assumes you have completed all preceding lessons. See Lesson 1: Setting up the consolidated database.

This lesson assumes that you have the roles and privileges listed in the Privileges section at the start of this tutorial: Tutorial: Configuring server-initiated synchronization using gateways.

 Create a new MobiLink project

  1. Click Start » Programs » SQL Anywhere 16 » Administration Tools » Sybase Central.

  2. Click Tools » MobiLink 16 » New Project.

  3. In the Name field, type sis_cons_project.

  4. In the Location field, type C:\MLsis, and then click Next.

  5. In the Database display name field, type sis_cons.

  6. Click Edit. The Connect To A Generic ODBC Database window appears.

  7. In the User ID field, type DBA.

  8. In the Password field, type sql.

  9. In the ODBC Data Source name field, click Browse, and then select sis_cons.

  10. Click OK, and then click Save.

  11. Check the Remember the password option, and then click Next.

  12. Accept the defaults on the New Remote Database Schema page and click Next.

  13. Click Next and then click Finish. Click OK.

Résultat

The MobiLink project is created.
